Located in our Stockroom, you will be responsible for overall stock control and asset compliance on IT devices at our Swindon Head Office. You will also be responsible for controlling disposals and end of lease returns and raising these through our 3rd party website. You will process IT kit returns from onsite and remote sites, ensuring asset compliance and secure storage. You will also be responsible for liaising with our 3rd party vendors, processing their stock returns, and ensuring that the loading bay is clear. Other activities will include:
* Updating key trackers and databases to accurately record work completed.
* Ensuring asset movement processes are followed and recorded accurately.
* Liaising with other team members to process stock.
* Completing asset checks and 6 monthly audits.
* Completing required corporate learning.
* New peripheral device testing.
* Stock ordering.
* Processing repair stock to our repair engineers.
* Making our processes more efficient.
This role is within the End User Services Function, which includes physical devices, software packaging and deployment, mobile technologies, Microsoft365 services, Print Services and meeting room technology. The IT Service Desk, Tech bar and 2nd/3rd line EUS support teams exist within our structure. Our partners include HP, HPE, Jigsaw, Vodafone, ProAV and Microsoft.
This is an existing role within the Asset, Inventory, and Repair team, who provide asset compliance, stock control, and repairs for our onsite and remote IT support teams.
This role requires you to be based full time on site at our head office in Swindon.

What you’ll be doing
You will process any stock returns handed over from our Device Provisioning, Retail and Tech Bar teams daily. Ensuring that all assets are updated in line with process, whilst working in a clean environment. This will include manual movement of our IT kit.
You’ll work closely with your fellow Asset, Inventory, and Repair team members alongside the Device Provisioning onsite team in our build room. This will include providing faulty stock to our repair engineers.
We’ll need you to be forward thinking, showing your own initiative to clear work in a timely manner. Disposal and End of Lease returns will need to be processed twice a month at a minimum. You will process items for these daily.
About you
* Be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and hardware.
* Experience of working with an IT service management tool such as Service Now or similar.
* An understanding of IT service delivery or working in an ITIL environment, with a good awareness of IT terminology.
* Be competent at building relationships with colleagues utilising your strong communication and interpersonal skills so that you can work as a part of a team.
* A positive and determined attitude, with a can-do approach to work.
* Have a technical and logical mindset with a strong attention to detail when completing administrative work.
* Be flexible and have an adaptable approach to tasks, embracing change as the organisation continues to evolve.
* Be able to follow processes accurately.
