With sales in excess of £90m across 40 sites and a team of 500 people, LBS Builders Merchants, South Wales’ largest independent builders’ merchant is looking to appoint a Sales Manager to lead the sales operation across our trading area in the South Wales East We are looking for someone that can: Lead on the sales strategy for the trading business across the region. Appoint and manage a team of Sales Representatives, both internal and external. Play a senior role in setting targets for the LBS merchant business. Formulate, implement, and drive sales plans. Report on company performance to the Sales Director, the LBS Board and wider business on a regular basis. Identify opportunities and deliver improvements to increase sales and profitability. Build strong working relationships with customers, existing & new. Confidently lead the sales operation of the business while maintaining the highest standards. Communicate clearly and positively, providing support to the trading operation. For this senior appointment, you will: Be a dynamic and strategic leader with strong communication skills. Have extensive previous experience in a sales environment and have strong commercial acumen. Work well under pressure and be flexible in your approach. Demonstrate the ability to communicate strongly at all levels and manage people. Have a sound knowledge of IT systems as well as sales information systems (e.g. BI, CRM, Intact). Why choose LBS?
