The Learner Success Coach objectives are set out as follows:
1. To deliver an overall learning experience that enables learners to successfully complete their learning programme, and to meet their potential and career aims.
2. To operate efficiently, constantly innovating with our business partners to achieve organisational confidence, value for money and excellence in teaching, learning and assessment.
3. Delivering solutions to address industry skills gaps for mid-career and new industry entrant learners, working with Decoded SMEs to provide a tailored and individualised learning plan.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
As a Learner Success Coach at Decoded, you’re ultimately accountable for:
Education and Learner Progress
1. The achievement and timely progress of learners through training, support and assessment practises.
2. Utilising your working knowledge and experience in data to support the learners in implementing the knowledge they have learnt in their day to day roles.
3. Developing the abilities, knowledge, skill, behaviours and confidence of each learner working towards DA L3 & 4, DPM L4 and L3 DST (AI-tailored) standards. Working with SMEs to provide an individualised learning approach in relation to sector standards levels 3 & 4. Supporting the learners’ ability to work confidently, effectively and independently in life and work as part of the apprenticeship programme.
4. Training, supporting, coaching and mentoring apprentices in relation to the wider apprenticeship curriculum (Functional skills and embedded maths and English, British Values, Prevent and Equality & Diversity).
5. Develop and update individual learning plans to demonstrate learner progression, ensuring critical milestones are planned and met.
6. Maintaining accurate records of individual learner progress, coordinate the planning of and signing off of learning activities and assessment decisions, and actioning IQA feedback in BUD/Canvas.
Quality Assurance and Administrative
1. Achieving company and individual KPIs.
2. Working with IQAs and attending internal training and standardisation activities.
3. To ensure compliance with Ofsted, ESFA, partners, and other authorities with respect to policy and all procedures associated with teaching, learning and assessment.
Learner and Employer Partnerships
1. Establish and maintain effective partnerships with employers and learners that promotes the achievement of learner’s qualifications within agreed timescales.
2. Establish a safe working environment for learners, in relation to safeguarding, Prevent, e-safety and wellbeing.
Professional development
1. Management of own continual professional development (CPD) to ensure currency in Data Analysis methodologies and products.
2. Developing highly effective relationships with your team and the wider organisation.
3. Encompassing the Decoded values of integrity, simplicity, excellence and fun.
SPECIFIC ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Education and Learner Progress
1. Create tailored individual learning plans for learners that fully supports the agreed timescales for achievement.
2. Support SEND and adapt assessment, teaching and learning to support individuals needs.
3. Assess learners work against competencies and give constructive feedback on gap analysis and next steps. Assess to awarding organisation, End Point Assessment and Ofsted/CIF criteria.
4. Monitor SPAG and liaise with the Functional Skills team when required.
5. Ensure efficient diary management so that you effectively support your caseload of learners from start to finish of the apprenticeship in line with your individual KPIs.
Quality Assurance and Administrative
1. Regularly quality check and maintain OTJ training records and ensure they formulate a complete record of a minimum 20% of apprentices paid hours.
2. Contribute to the overall team performance by way of suggestions and recommendations to enhance the quality of delivery and learner experience.
3. Work collaboratively with all parties using verbal and well written reports to ensure accurate and timely performance reporting.
4. To participate fully in all Quality & Compliance Policy procedures, activities and training.
5. Attend required standardisation activities and regular meeting participation.
6. Ensure that safe working practices are followed.
7. Comply with and promote Health and Safety Policy and take appropriate responsibility to ensure the health and safety of self and others.
8. To understand, comply with and promote the company’s Safeguarding Policy and Procedures.
9. Understand, comply with and promote the company’s Equality Policy and procedures.
Learner and Employer Partnerships
1. Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with learners and employers.
2. Ensure learners are involved in the decision making process, either as individuals, through reviews, learner forums, and/or surveys.
3. Demonstrate a proactive approach to minimising any barriers to your learners by implementing additional support (IAG) in a manner that promotes timely achievement.

WHO ARE YOU?
You are:
1. Passionate about the education and technology sectors.

You have:
1. Proven previous involvement in and experience of apprenticeship delivery.
2. A detailed understanding of the UK’s Further Education sector, including Apprenticeships.
3. Experience of dealing with ESFA and other relevant education regulators.
4. Experience of Apprenticeship delivery platforms, ideally including Bud.
5. Experience in or a good understanding of the technology sector.
6. Excellent attention to detail.
7. Work to deadlines/targets.
8. A background/knowledge in data analysis.
9. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
10. Project management and organisational skills.
11. Proven ability to work with own initiative.
12. Working knowledge and experience in database software and management systems.
Beneficial Qualifications and Training:
1. Level 3 vocational qualification (of evidence of occupational competence). CAVA/A1.
2. Level 2 literacy, numeracy, ICT skills.
TEAM & REPORTING STRUCTURE
This role will report into a Senior Learner Success Coach.
DAY-TO-DAY
You will be in control and responsible for your time. You plan your working day around the best outcomes for success, identifying and prioritising projects against business needs.
LEARNING & PROGRESSION
We run a dedicated learning calendar to hone craft skills in leadership, management, strategy and other relevant disciplines. Your CPD will be tailored to suit your needs.
Quarterly reviews embedded within our culture of feedback will ensure you are recognised and rewarded for the value that you bring to Decoded.
