Job Description
As a Systems Engineering Support professional, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support the design, development, integration, and testing of advanced defence systems. Your role will involve leveraging expertise in guidance and control, hardware development, communications networks, or modelling to ensure robust and effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and development of systems, focusing on guidance and control, communications networks, datalinks, or related hardware.
- Perform systems modelling, including creating and using digital twins to simulate and evaluate system performance.
- Develop and integrate advanced software solutions for system functionality, using programming skills to optimise system performance.
- Assist in the development of hardware solutions
- Collaborate with teams to design and test communications networks and datalinks to ensure reliability and security.
- Conduct system analysis and provide insights to enhance system capabilities.
- Document system designs, analyses, and test outcomes, ensuring traceability and compliance with defence standards.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Engineering Background: Specialisation in guidance and control systems, hardware development, or communication networks.
- Modelling Expertise: Experience in system modelling, including digital twin technology for simulation and evaluation.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, MATLAB, Simulink, or equivalent) with a focus on defence applications.
- Systems Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to complex technical challenges.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced defence environment.
