Working within the Trafford Community Mental Health Team is an exciting and rewarding opportunity. The teams have a supportive approach for staff with a range of resources available including regular supervision, both clinical and managerial, annual professional development reviews and regular learning opportunities.

Main Duties of the Job
Trafford Community Mental Health Team is a committed integrated service that strives to provide quality recovery-based support to people with severe and enduring mental health difficulties in Trafford 7 days per week, 365 days per year.
The service utilizes a wide range of evidence-based holistic assessments and interventions.
As a Community Psychiatric Nurse, you will undertake the role of Care Coordinator in line with the CPA process, managing a defined complex caseload which may include individuals on the Assertive Outreach pathway. You will work proactively and flexibly within a multi-disciplinary team model.
There is a requirement to provide clinical leadership and assist in the organizing, supporting, supervision, and development of junior staff members.
You will provide cover for the community depot clinic and the team Duty Worker role on a rota basis.
You will also act as assessor/mentor for student nurses.
The post holder will play a key role in the further development of the service and in the implementation of its Clinical and Social Care Governance agenda.

Person Specification
Experience
* Registered Mental Health Nurse
* At least 1 year post-registration experience
* Experience of mentoring and/or supervision
* Previous experience of working in the community
Knowledge
* Comprehensive knowledge of CPA, MHA, and Capacity Act
* Further qualifications relevant to the role
