Job overview
Why not start your physiotherapy career with Provide? We believe Provide is a great place to work with a vision of providing a range of outstanding services to transform lives by treating, caring and educating people. We are looking for qualified physiotherapists or students due to qualify, to join our Band 5 rotations within Mid Essex. The community is where rehabilitation happens and the rotations will give you an excellent opportunity to consolidate your skills and academic knowledge, by putting your learning into practice.
This post would be suited to a newly qualified physiotherapist or someone due to finish their course in the next 12 months.
The programme gives extensive experience of community rehabilitation, assessing and treating patients presenting with a wide range of diagnoses, within a mixture of clinical settings, including virtual wards, outpatient clinics as well as within the patients’ own homes. The rotations currently include Musculoskeletal, Respiratory, Community Therapy, Neuro Physiotherapy Outpatients, and Frailty Virtual Ward.
As a Community Services provider we have a strong ethos of multidisciplinary working and work closely with colleagues in the wider team to provide a patient centred, holistic approach.
As your confidence and experience grows, we can offer the opportunity for some people management and leadership courses to help you prepare for more senior roles and career progression.
Main duties of the job
1. To participate in Provide's Physiotherapy rotations providing rehabilitation in a variety of settings.
2. To hold clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of patients.
3. To provide a high standard of Physiotherapy assessments of patients with diverse presentations using clinical reasoning skills to provide a diagnosis and deliver individualised treatment programmes.
4. Provide advice and education to optimise health, wellbeing and to promote better self-management of a condition.
5. To work as an autonomous practitioner within the multidisciplinary team.
6. To ensure timely discharge of patients from the service and refer patients on to other health, social care and voluntary agencies as appropriate.
