Business Change Manager, DV Clearance
We are seeking an experienced Business Change Lead to oversee the delivery of business change within a major digital transformation programme. The programme is part of a critical strategic-level command and control information system for a government client, with significant involvement in a sensitive, high-stakes environment. The successful candidate will be part of a small, high-performing client-side consulting team, working alongside various internal and external stakeholders.
Rate: £850.00 per day Inside IR35
Location: Corsham (hybrid working)
Duration: 12 Months
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the Business Change function of a complex digital transformation initiative in a defence sector environment.
2. Manage stakeholder expectations and deliver business change strategies across multiple teams, ensuring alignment with the overall programme goals.
3. Work closely with key stakeholders, both within and outside the client organisation, including senior leaders up to 2-star level.
4. Provide day-to-day guidance and support for business change activities, ensuring that all tasks are completed according to project timeliness.
5. Manage a small team and potentially oversee the work of a Business Analyst.
6. Operate within a challenging timeline, with limited business change resources, requiring proactive problem-solving and solution delivery.
Essential Requirements:
1. Experience in Business Change: Proven track record of leading business change initiatives, particularly within digital environments. Ability to lead business change functions, especially where resources and time are constrained.
2. Defence Sector Experience: In-depth understanding and experience within the UK Defence sector, particularly around capability integration and Defence Lines of Development.
3. Stakeholder Management: Strong communication and influence with senior stakeholders, including those at a 2-star level, with established credibility in similar roles.
4. Technical Competence: A solid understanding of information systems, including the technical implications of business change and digital transformation in the defence space.
5. Vetting & Security: Must currently hold an active MOD DV clearance with a minimum of 6 months remaining.
6. Location & Availability: Full-time role, with a minimum of 2 days per week required on-site at a specific location in the South West. Additional travel to other client sites may be required, and occasional overnight stays may be necessary.
7. Accreditation: Experience and certification as an accredited Business Change Practitioner, operating at SFIA Level 5, ideally with prior MODNet account access.
