Research Manager - Bradford - £32,000 DOE
The Job:
As a Research Manager, you will design and oversee client research projects to ensure objectives are met effectively and profitably. Your role involves disseminating research findings through various platforms, including conferences, papers, and advisory materials. You will also develop new R&D clients, services, and markets to expand the company’s offerings. The role requires independent initiative, collaboration with other Research Managers, and leadership of a team, including training and development to achieve collective goals.
1. Liaise with clients to develop and fulfill business opportunities
2. Create innovative systems and methods to meet client needs
3. Identify and pursue opportunities for new services and markets
4. Oversee and manage both internal and external projects
5. Ensure projects are registered, tracked, delivered on target, and invoiced punctually
6. Disseminate research findings through seminars, conferences, and practical demonstrations
7. Submit proposals and reports for approval before issuing to clients
8. Authorise project-related spending within agreed budgets
9. Train and develop a team of Trials Officers, ensuring team goals are achieved

The Candidate:
We are looking for a motivated and dynamic individual with the following qualities:
1. Enthusiasm and a willingness to dedicate the necessary hours to develop the research business
2. Flexibility to travel throughout the UK, Ireland, and internationally
3. A university degree or extensive experience in amenity/agriculture
4. Knowledge of product registration processes and trial work
5. Experience with ARM software
6. Proven expertise in applied R&D and project management, with turfgrass research being an advantage
7. High technical competence in a relevant scientific discipline
8. Exceptional networking skills
9. A keen interest in sports
10. A clean UK driving licence
The Package:
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per year DOE.
