Conventus requires a Tactical Data Links Systems Engineer to support the Delivery Team by managing the technical system engineering elements of Tactical Data Links and STDL equipment for the Maritime environment.
Responsibilities
* The TDL System Engineer will support the Delivery Team Leader and Chief Engineer by managing the technical system engineering elements of Tactical Data Link (TDL) Link 16, 11, 22 and STDL equipment for the Maritime environment.
* Link 16 is a military tactical data exchange network used by US, NATO and nations allowed by the MIDS International Program Office (IPO). Its specification is part of the family of Tactical Data Links. Systems Engineering requires a toolbox of “Systems Tools” that will allow the team to understand customer requirements, explore design options, optimize designs, make designs robust, validate design and realize system designs.
* Providing Systems Engineering support to analysis, design, develop and test Maritime TDL systems to ensure the integration of software, hardware, reliability, maintainability, safety and other requirements in the total engineering effort.
* Supporting the development and integration of Data Link systems for the Maritime Multi-Link programme, including technical studies to resolve problems, integration issues, and trials and acceptance in order to progress towards successful introduction into service.
* Formulating operational concepts; performing mission, functional, cost-benefit and risk analysis; selecting systems architecture and preparing specifications for TDL operating systems to ensure designs meet applicable security specifications.
Skills/Experience
* Tactical Data Link Systems (TDLS)
* BEng Hons in Systems Engineering or equivalent, CEng. (desirable)
* Active SC Clearance
