We are recruiting a Site Engineer to join our Building Operating Unit working on a major public sector project in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. This individual will be responsible for planning, managing and coordinating the engineering aspects of sub-contract packages including reinforced concrete, structural steelwork, services install and drainage.
What you'll do:
* Manage the site engineering activities in accordance with Skanska’s Environmental, Health, Safety and quality procedures.
* Assist the Senior Engineer in ensuring all aspects of project compliance.
* Contribute to/develop a good working relationship with the Client’s team, consultants, sub-contractors and external parties to ensure the successful execution of all project specific engineering matters.
* Ensure all project specifications, quality requirements and industry good practices are adhered to.
* Carry out all project specific Quality Assurance related inspections and checks.
What you'll bring to the role:
* Minimum BTEC HNC/HND or BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering.
* Demonstrable experience of relevant projects of equivalent complexity.
* Quality management skills.
Security Clearance
This role requires a minimum level of security clearance and may also require a higher level of National Security Vetting. You should be aware that certain levels of clearance or specific projects and/or sites have UK residency requirements; and any dual or multiple nationalities must be declared. Any persons who do not fulfil these residency requirements may be unable to obtain the required level of clearance and would not be eligible to undertake this role.
