Description Job Role: IT Support Engineer Location: Sheffield - Office Based. The GFSL IT department are looking to recruit an IT support Technician who has previously worked in support and can communicate well with end users of all levels and who loves to get stuck into a project that will involve learning new skills and being proactive before support issues occur. Project work could require some travel to help manage a role out and support a seamless go live. This is a role that is made up of several key skillsets: First line support for IT issues including: Basic how to questions Problem solving Making sure all new starters get the relevant IT kit before they start Completing forms for the creation and deletion of users License management Being the face of IT to the end users Managing issues that may occur and work with MOJ IT contacts to resolve Supporting the Sheffield office for IT issues Mobile Device Management Software (Soti) Be the main point of contact for support issues with Android Tablets Develop the Soti environment to benefit the business by understanding what it can do and what we could improve Manage any changes needed to the Soti environment Asset management Ordering of all accessories needed for the business from various sources Logging all new IT into the asset system Maintaining the asset register so its always up to date and each person’s equipment log is accurate. Profiling and resetting both android tablets and Apple iPhones Postage of new or replacement assets to staff Project work Working as part of a project team to help introduce new assets or systems to the business when needed.
