Field Care Supervisor:
We have a rare opportunity for a Field Care Supervisor to join the team at Beech Tree Total Care, part of the Care at Home Services Group, a family run care company providing Domiciliary care across Kent and Sussex. Working alongside the Senior Carers and Care Co-ordinators, the role of the Field Care Supervisor will usually be office based for 2 days and the remaining days either office based or out in the field depending on the business or care service requirements.
This role involves working across Dover and Hythe areas.
Main responsibilities:
1. Accept, allocate and process new referrals for care and support promptly.
2. Process changes to clients care and support plans.
3. Make sure there is sufficient cover to deliver care and support on time.
4. Monitor the allocation of carers to maximise efficiency whilst supporting them through the use of IT systems.
5. Work with the office team to maintain up to date electronic and hand written records.
6. Work within the Care Team and other health and social care professionals to deliver high quality home care services and to make improvements where necessary.
7. Monitor work standards of care staff by undertaking spot checks, supervisions and observations.
8. Carry out client reviews on site and by phone.
9. Ensure all paperwork in the clients files has been completed and client information recorded in line with company policies and procedures.
10. Report to the manager on any aspect of the clients care, which in the view of the Care Supervisor warrants investigation or urgent action.
11. Assist within the office when required and cover holidays and sickness.
About you:
The following qualities are considered essential for the role of Field Care Supervisor:
1. At least 3 years experience working in the care industry.
2. A care qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 3 or higher.
3. Ability to demonstrate good communication skills both written and verbal.
4. Caring and sensitive to the needs of others.
5. Excellent working knowledge of the day to day requirements of domiciliary care work.
6. Able to work on your own and use your own initiative.
You must have the right to work in the UK, a full driving licence and the use of a car.
You will be required to undergo a full Disclosure and Barring Service process for this role.
The position is part time (20 hours per week), plus on call responsibilities which are shared amongst the Care Co-ordination Team.
