Milk Education is seeking a passionate, motivated, and dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join a partner, vibrant primary school in Gorton, Manchester. As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting young children's learning and development, ensuring they receive the best possible start to their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities.
2. Assist with the planning and preparation of resources and activities tailored to the EYFS curriculum.
3. Provide individual or small group support to children with their learning, promoting active participation and building confidence.
4. Support children with their personal and social development, including encouraging good behaviour and positive interactions.
5. Observe and record children's progress, working closely with the teacher to identify areas for development.
6. Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for all children.
The Ideal EYFS Teaching Assistant:
1. Previous experience in an EYFS or primary school setting is desirable, but not essential. (Private Day Nursery experience will also be considered)
2. A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
3. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
4. A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented approach.
5. A relevant qualification in childcare or education (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent) is advantageous.
