Job summary
East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic person to join our dedicated team of Finance professionals. We are looking for a highly motivated Financial and Treasury Support Officer to join our dedicated team.
You will be a self-motivated, pro-active individual with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills. You will be able to analyse, interpret and present complex financial information to both finance and non-finance staff.
This is a varied and challenging role in a complex and dynamic environment and you will have the opportunity to support the key functions within the Financial Services environment from daily input, to complex reconciliations, through to preparing working papers in support of the annual accounts.
This role would be suited to an AAT student looking to gain knowledge and experience of working within a Financial Services environment within the NHS
Main duties of the job
This is a challenging and diverse role. The post holder will have particular responsibility for the Trust cashiering function as well as identifying and recording Trust income. The post includes complex reconciliations and will support the team with the year end process.

Qualifications
Essential
1. Educated to A-level standard including Mathematics
2. NVQ level 4 / AAT Technician level or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
3. Evidence of financial accounting experience in a large/complex organisation
Desirable
4. Advanced Diploma in Accounting - Level 3 (AAT), or currently studying this level
Experience
Essential
5. Experience of technical accounting, capital accounting and/or financial management experience in the NHS or other large complex organisation.
6. Experience of analysing and investigating financial data.
7. Experience of working in a cash office or bursary

8. Broad Finance, technical accounting, capital accounting, office experience.
