Role: SMT Manager As our SMT manager you will be responsible in managing our team of engineers and executing production schedules. We are looking for an experienced and motivated leader who can drive best practice and lead a culture of continuous improvement, and nurture and maximise staff talent. You will need a proven track record in working on technically advanced PCBA production orders, as we currently operate eight SMT machines and associated print and reflow capabilities, including jet printing and vapour phase reflow. Core Competence and Duties: • Team leadership, with concise communication and organisation skills • Manage the SMT team competency, including training and technical guidance (Mycronic training outsourced) • Executing SMT build orders within our ultra-high mix/high complexity environment, including hands-on work within defined times and instating and enacting changes. • Defining robust work instructions and procedures, aligned with company standards and best practice, including identifying potential risk, implementing corrective actions. • A pro-active approach to organising shifts and resources, including appraisals or performance related matters. • Leadership Profile: Demonstrate excellent team coordination skills and serves as a strong, self-motivated leader • Leadership Profile: Demonstrate excellent team coordination skills and serves as a strong, self-motivated leader • Manage internal and supplier maintenance procedures for all equipment. • Manage optimisation and efficiency, working with tools such as Aegis and MYplan, MYcentre and MYcentre analysis and PRM. • Be an integral key player and source of knowledge. Including the phase-in of new capability. Skills Required: 10 Years technical knowledge (process) Motivated and strategic Leadership experience Core Hours: Mon-Thursday 8.30 - 5.00, Friday 8.30 - 4.00 (flexible and adaptable to ensure cover across two shifts) All positions are permanent and based on a 39-hour week.
