Job Title: Finance Assistant Location: Erith, Kent Job Type: Full-Time Office based Salary: Up to £33k / PA (depending on experience) Our client provides a complete electrical, mechanical and security contracting service, from design to implementation with a focus on new build and refurbishment residential project, as well as servicing other commercial, industrial and domestic clients. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our dynamic team as a Finance Assistant. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting with day to day business operations and contributing to the companies continued success and growth. Key Responsibilities: Payroll Management Bank reconciliation Managing two different company accounts Raising Invoices Handling staff expenses Overall management of company finances Credit Control Managing invoices to paycerts Inputting purchase invoices Submitting CIS returns Submitting VAT returns Purchase & Sales Ledger Required Qualifications: Experience in CIS, PAYE, VAT and VRC is essential. Comfortable with credit control tasks, including chasing for payments, although this is rarely needed and usually done via email. Previous experience in the construction industry is highly desirable. Knowledge of QuickBooks software is preferred, or a willingness to learn. This is an office-based role, with no remote working. Must be confident and capable of taking full responsibility for the companys financial undertakings and able to work independently. Willingness to assist with office management duties and other non-accounts related tasks when required. Highly organised with excellent attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Strong computer skills with the ability to type accurately and efficiently. Demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with a range of customers / clients and colleagues. Reliability and punctuality qualities are essential to this role.
