Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You'll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
A broad range of accounting and finance tasks will be undertaken providing experience across our activities. Tasks will include:
* Accounts preparation and bookkeeping
* Matching the bank feeds
* Month-end journals
* Understanding the various accounting software in use
* VAT returns
* Payroll
* Personal tax
* Business tax
* General admin, including ad-hoc duties, assisting the owners in administration, finance, and other duties.

Course contents
* Record transactional data.
* Use the organisation's standard tools and processes to examine data.
* Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
* Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
* Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate results.
* Use finance and accounting software packages to manage data.
* Handle data in line with cyber and data security requirements.
Your training plan
You will undertake the Level 2 "Accounts / Finance Assistant" Apprenticeship with full support from Accountancy Learning as part of their Flexible Apprenticeship Programme. This blended learning experience incorporates multiple teaching methods.
