This job will give you the experience you need to work in the catering industry, and your skills will be in high demand in the future. We offer a menu packed full of mouth-watering dishes and daily specials. Our meals are cooked to order and prepared from fresh seasonal produce to create a variety of tempting dishes.
Annual wage
£10,920 a year
Starting rate of £7 per hour. Pay is weekly. Tips are shared between staff on a shift basis.

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

General duties include:

* Check, prepare, assemble, cook, regenerate, hold and present food meeting the needs of the customers and maintaining organisational standards and procedures.
* Use kitchen tools and equipment correctly to produce consistently high quality dishes according to specifications.
* Take responsibility for the cleanliness, organisation and smooth running of the work area.
* Produce dishes to suit individuals’ specific dietary, religious and allergenic needs as required.
* Operate within all regulations, legislation and procedural requirements.
* Complete and maintain documentation to meet current legislative guidelines.
* Use effective methods of communication with all colleagues, managers and customers to promote a positive image of yourself and the organisation.

* Training will be at Doncaster College where you will access a wide range of facilities on offer
* Day release
* You will undertake Production Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard
* You will undertake Functional Skills for English and/or Maths if needed
* You will undertake both on and off-the-job training by a team of industry-qualified professionals to give you the best skills, knowledge, and experience

Desirable qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in:
* English and Math (grade C/4 or above)
