HR Officer – Education Sector
Location: Leeds - hyrbrid (after probation)
Salary: £30,000 - £33,366
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, all year round
We are seeking a confident and proactive HR Advisor/HR Officer to join a forward-thinking academy in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in a dynamic, student-focused environment while supporting the full employee lifecycle.
You’ll be the go-to person for all HR matters on-site. You will be instrumental in promoting a positive, inclusive culture and providing high-quality support in areas such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, payroll, and training.
Key responsibilities include:

Advising on and administering safer recruitment practices
*
Supporting ER cases, including absence and performance management
*
Delivering induction and onboarding programmes
*
Supporting training and development initiatives
*
Ensuring accurate and timely payroll processes
*
Promoting employee wellbeing and engagement
You’ll bring a collaborative approach, excellent interpersonal skills, and the confidence to coach and support managers across a broad range of HR issues. The role requires strong organisation, attention to detail, and a calm, solution-focused mindset.
What we’re looking for:

Ideally CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent)
*
Previous HR experience, ideally in an educational or public sector setting
*
Strong understanding of HR systems and best practices
*
Excellent communication and IT skills
