ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
TIQ is looking to fill the role of Trade Manager in London Office, initially for 24 months and with the possibility of ongoing employment. Reporting to the Agent-General for Queensland and Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner – Europe and Middle East you will contribute to ensuring a bright future for Queensland and our global partners.

WHO IS THE CANDIDATE WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
To be successful in the Trade Manager role our ideal candidate will:
1. Maintain and strengthen Queensland’s position by developing and maintaining contacts with government representatives, business leaders and industry allies
2. Under direction of the Agent-General or Deputy Commissioner, assist in managing trade missions and Ministerial visits including preparation of visit programs and accompanying official and business delegations
3. Have existing experience working with trade and/or investment clients in Europe and/or Queensland that will enable you to work on a range of projects and undertake targeted research to produce trade and investment leads and projects
4. Understand how to introduce new Queensland exporters to the Europe market, including where possible, having an existing network of allies in market
5. Support Queensland companies to pursue trade and investment outcomes by providing market intelligence, business leads, advice, introductions and screening of partners, participating in trade shows, business matching services, and other activities across Europe
6. Support Queensland businesses, suppliers, educational institutions, and other organisations that are looking for buyers, partners, investors or allies
7. Provide accurate and timely market intelligence about developments in the economy and the business sector
8. Work closely with the TIQ global network and Queensland stakeholders, including Brisbane and Queensland regional office staff, to co-ordinate joint trade promotional activities, business missions and client support
9. Develop and implement trade and investment strategies and action plans
This role may require additional duties to be completed as directed
ARE YOU ELIGIBLE TO WORK FOR TIQ IN LONDON?
To be eligible for either role, you must :
* Work Authorisation – be a British citizen or UK resident legally authorised to live and work in London at the time of appointment
* Language – possess written and spoken English language at native or high-proficiency level
* Be willing to undertake a background check and be confirmed as a suitable person to access Government resources
Remuneration and benefits of working for TIQ London
* Salary GBP47,267 gross per annum
* Yearly increment based on positive performance review
* 25 days recreation leave, 15 days sick leave 14 public holidays per year
* Pension employer contribution of 9.5% and employee contribution rate up to 5%
