This brand-new role is an incredible opportunity to shape and launch our Cold Brew Brewery, driving our ready-to-drink speciality coffee range's strategy, development, and success. Purpose of the Role As our RTD Production Manager, you’ll take ownership of the entire product lifecycle, from innovation and development to commercial strategy and market positioning. You’ll ensure our Cold Brew range and Nespresso compatible pods are exceptional in quality and a standout success in the market. This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up. What You’ll Do RTD & Capsule Production Management Oversee RTD brewing, canning, and capsule production, ensuring all products meet quality and efficiency targets. Manage the end-to-end production process, including brewing, extraction, filling, sealing, and packaging. Ensure scalability of production operations to support business growth. Identify and implement automation tools or process improvements to enhance efficiency. Maintain HACCP and food safety compliance, ensuring all production processes meet regulatory standards. Quality Control & Process Optimisation Ensure strict quality control measures at every stage of production. Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for brewing, canning, and capsule production. Work with the Supply Chain and Logistics teams to maintain optimal raw material and packaging inventory. Continuously assess and improve production efficiency, reducing waste and downtime. Investigate and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal disruption to supply. Multi-Site Operations & Team Leadership Oversee production affected by additional operational sites, ensuring seamless operations and logistics between locations. Lead and develop the RTD & Capsules production teams, ensuring a high-performance culture. Support hiring, training, and development of production team members. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and safety. Ensure all Health & Safety (H&S) regulations are adhered to across both sites. Production Strategy & Growth Collaborate with the Operations, Roastery, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to align production with business objectives. Monitor key production KPIs, including yield, efficiency, and cost per unit. Lead new product development trials, working with the R&D team to scale production effectively. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives in production and packaging. Ensure compliance with environmental and sustainability practices in RTD and capsule production. This role reports to the Head of Operations, ensuring production efficiency, product quality, and alignment with Origin’s strategic goals. What You'll Bring Skills and Behaviours Experience in RTD production, brewing, canning, or similar industries, ideally from a brewery or FMCG manufacturing environment. Strong operational leadership skills, managing production at scale. Hands-on production expertise, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues in brewing, canning, and capsule filling. Proven ability to drive efficiency and continuous improvement, reducing costs and increasing output. Experience managing multi-site production operations, ensuring seamless workflow across different locations. Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and quality assurance practices.Ability to make quick, data-driven operational decisions in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in production planning, scheduling, and inventory management. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is highly advantageous.
