Responsibilities:
1. Lead and plan network architecture strategies for IP, Optical, Transport, and Access Networks.
2. Oversee deployment and design of DHCP/DNS/IPAMS (DDI) and routing protocols (e.g., IGP/EGP, SR-MPLS, TI-LFA).
3. Develop high-level standards for network deployments, focusing on product roadmap alignment and vendor management.
4. Work with OSP Engineering on fiber network design and guide capacity planning to anticipate necessary network upgrades.
5. Perform network security and remote access designs, ensuring reliable and scalable solutions.
6. Mentor team members on technology advancements, providing training and technical support for major systems.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
1. Expert knowledge of BGP, CGNAT, Linux/Unix, Python/Shell Scripting.
2. Hands-on experience with Ciena, Cisco, and Juniper equipment (CCNP/CCIE preferred).
3. Expertise in Service Provider IP voice systems, SIP, and Fiber Access network design.
4. Knowledge of DWDM, OTN, and Carrier Ethernet technologies.
5. Experience in deploying and managing virtualized environments (VMs, containers).
6. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and clients.
7. Willingness to travel frequently throughout the Northeast.
