Job Title: Restaurant General Manager
Salary: £42,000 - £46,000
Location: North Yorkshire
Castle Employment Group is working in partnership with a 3 AA Rosette fine dining restaurant in North Yorkshire, looking to bring in an experienced restaurant manager to lead the team and deliver on the clear goals & objectives set out by the independent owner.
We are looking for candidates with a salary bracket of up to £46,000 who will benefit from a generous share of tips, discounts across the venue, and meals while on duty, along with a discretionary bonus based on company performance.
We want to speak to passionate & professional leaders with previous experience in fine dining settings, looking for an opportunity to be part of a project as the restaurant works towards its goal of Michelin status over the next couple of years. They will have a great team of professionals around them, focusing on customer service, overall management, and staff training & development.
Role:
1. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
2. Coordinate the restaurant team, ensuring everyone works closely together
3. Maintain strong levels of communication across the team and other departments
4. Exhibit a strong customer service ethos and the ability to deliver high levels of service consistently
5. Manage restaurant rotas and other administrative duties
6. Recruit, manage & train the staff in your direct report
7. Knowledge of health & safety legislation along with licensing laws
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 2 years in managerial positions with fine dining experience
2. Experience using Restaurant Booking Systems
3. Rosette, Michelin & tasting menu experience preferred
4. Proven experience managing a team, including recruitment & training
