Reporting to the Engineering, Health & Safety Manager, the Production Engineer is to implement continuous improvement initiatives and oversee facilities maintenance and management at Kiwicare. This is to ensure a safe and healthy environment that meets quality, capacity, and cost improvement initiatives.
* Ability to support day-to-day production activities to optimize production time.
* Proven capability to plan and manage process improvement projects within time and budget, including the preparation of relevant documentation.
* Proficient in assisting the engineering team with equipment specification, qualification, installation, and commissioning.
* Competence in developing and ensuring compliance with Operating Discipline and SOP requirements, while coaching employees on effective process implementation.
* Skilled in coordinating maintenance activities with internal and external stakeholders through the development of preventative maintenance plans.
* Ability to oversee the introduction of new products from the NPD team to Production, including developing and verifying manufacturing processes for product changes.
* Capability to ensure products are manufactured to GMP standards and manage the setup of new products, including staff training and documentation.
Ō Koutou Pukenga | What you’ll bring with you
* Degree in Chemical, Process, or Mechanical Engineering preferred, with a strong ability to solve problems using data and engineering principles.
* Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and working independently.
* Effective communicator with a history of accountability and integrity, thriving in collaborative environments and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and/or NetSuite Project Management.
* Meticulous and detail-oriented, utilizing facts and data for informed decision-making.
* Driven individual with a hands-on attitude and a high level of personal accountability and integrity.
