The Role:
We are looking for a dynamic, creative and passionate leader to manage a small team in delivering a quality service within the homeless service sector and young person sector. Working within a service looking after children who are 16-18 years old.
To supervise and coordinate a team to ensure the day to day delivery of high quality, reliable support service tailored to the specific needs of each young person entering our children’s service. Promoting independence and choice, in accordance with the Statement of Purpose and Ofsted Supported Accommodation Standards.
To provide first line management, to supervise a team of staff to ensure that young people are safeguarded, supported and receive person centred support within our accommodation, in accordance with people policies, statement of purpose, legislation and OFSTED standards.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to develop their management skills and help shape a quality service for young people. Management support will be readily available to the successful candidate and a full training package offered.

Skills and Attributes required:
* Experience of project management, including taking responsibility for the day-to-day running and security of the property.
* Staff management abilities, including supervising and appraising workers, allocating and evaluating work and assisting in the recruitment of team members when required.
* An awareness of issues relating to marginalised young people that have faced multiple disadvantages.
* Up to date knowledge and understanding of child safeguarding.
* Up to date knowledge and understanding of support agencies and partners who work with young people.
* Experience in helping others understand their goals and helping them to achieve an outcome.
* Skills in recording and reporting case notes.
* Experience of working within safeguarding policies and procedures and of identifying, monitoring, and reporting safeguarding concerns.
* A flexible, resilient, thoughtful, therapeutic approach to working with people.
* Practical skills to support service users in activities of daily living required for independence.
* An ability to motivate and empower service users to have greater control and choice over their life and opportunities.
* An ability to demonstrate our values and behaviours and work within the company’s ethos.

3 days of 8.30am – 4.30pm
2 lates of 1pm – 9pm
