Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our MSK team for 12 months to cover a career break. You will need to be competent working with a wider range of MSK presentations to ensure that our service users all receive the most appropriate, effective and efficient care.
The role will suit a registered Physiotherapist with a proven ability to treat patients referred from both acute and primary care. You will have solid NHS experience and a good understanding of the pathways between these sectors. You will be able to deliver kind and evidence based care to help all our service users be the best they can be.
We support clinical development and CPD though regular supervision, In service training, and close mentoring from our friendly and professional is a fixed term contract for 12 months ending December 2025
Main duties of the job
To manage and undertake physiotherapy intervention to a designated caseload with complex needs, gaining experience through involvement in a specialist clinical area.
To provide a high quality, effective physiotherapy service to MSK patients in outpatients across the Western Cheshire Joint Therapies MSK service, and professional leadership to junior and assistant physiotherapy staff.
To provide a specialist physiotherapy assessment of patients with diverse clinical presentation and pathology to determine a clinical diagnosis and provide treatment via therapeutic interventions as indicated and develop effective treatment plans.

Qualifications
Essential
1. Degree/diploma in Physiotherapy
2. HPC Registration
3. Evidence of CPD/up to date portfolio demonstrating interest in the MSK field and evidence of reflective practice
4. Evidence of relevant validated post-graduate courses
Desirable
5. Injection therapy qualification
6. Society of Orthopaedic Medicine or MACP course/membership
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
7. Minimum 3 years' experience in general physiotherapy in the NHS
8. Experience in MSK including short courses, and postgraduate learning
9. Good working knowledge of all areas of clinical governance including audit, quality and risk managment
Desirable
10. Experience in management of MSK conditions
11. Special interest/awareness of MSK conditions and rehabilitation
