Are you experienced at bringing on new business and developing existing relationships within the engineering, construction, or manufacturing industry? Then this role could be for you. Our client designs and fabricates high-spec products for some major companies in the UK. This role will involve traveling around to visit new clients with expenses paid for; therefore, a valid UK driving license is essential for this position.
Responsibilities of the Business Development Executive:
* Business development with new and prospect clients.
* Calling and visiting new clients.
* Dealing with all incoming inquiries, quotes, and business development calls.
* Familiarizing yourself with products and services offered by the company.
* Attending networking activities to research and connect with prospective clients.
* Maintaining existing relationships with clients.
* Suggesting upgrades or additional products and services that may be of interest to clients.
* Upselling/following up on quotes.
* Conducting service reviews with existing and new clients.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
* Experience in business development in the manufacturing, engineering, and/or construction industry is beneficial, but we can consider people with other industry backgrounds.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* You are not required to have extensive experience on the costings side as this can be taught, although some experience would be advantageous.
* Outgoing personality, confident in selling, and not shy to pick up the phone.
* Ability to work well independently and as part of the wider team, with lots of crossover with other departments.
* Valid full UK driving license.
