NewsomeSurgery is looking for an enthusiastic, patient focused and independentlymotivated Registered Nurse Associate to join our friendly team.
Youwill be an experienced Nurse Associate who is comfortable working independentlybut under the leadership of our Registered Nurse, supporting with all aspectsof nursing care and improving on the safety and quality of patient care atevery opportunity.

Youshould be patient-focused, independently motivated, and possess goodcommunication and interpersonal skills.
Youwill ideally be an experienced Nurse Associate; however, a newly qualified NurseAssociate would be considered with the right motivation, drive and willingness tolearn and develop.
Main duties of the job
Mainduties of the role will include but not be limited to;
-Assisting and performing routine nursing tasks related to patient care.
-Support patients to improve and maintain their mental, physical, behaviouralhealth and wellbeing by using behaviour change interventions.
-Following training and competency assessment, to undertake adult and child NHSimmunisation programmes and cervical screening.
- Tobe competent in venepuncture, ECGs and other diagnostic tests. Training will beoffered if required.
- Tobe competent in wound care management. Training will be offered if required.
- Tosupport chronic disease management.
- Toprovide general health promotion and NHS Health checks.
-Chaperone and assist patients where appropriate who are being examined byanother clinician.
- Tobe able to perform Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (BLS) and the correct use ofAutomated Defibrillator following training, according to the current UKResuscitation Council guidelines.
- Toparticipate in developments within the practice / network and support QOF / DESrequirements.

We are a friendly practice that strives to provide high quality patient care for our 5900 patients whilst also protecting out staffs well-being. We have 1 GP Partner, 2 salaried GP's and some regular GP locums. A nursing team of 1 Practice Nurse and 2 HCA's and have a non-clinical team of 12.
We are part of our local PCN and work closely with our other member practices and have access to multiple other staffing types from practice pharmacists, social prescribers, first contract practitioners and mental health support workers.
We are a training practice so are very training orientated and happy to support and develop the right people to help them grow in their roles.

Job SummaryAs Nurse Associate, you will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to monitor care under direct or indirect supervision, using a wide range of skills you have including (but not limited to), compliment the role of the GP and other Health Professionalsmake the best use of clinical skills within the practice to promote well-being and maximise health gain for patients.provide a safe, high quality and accessible treatment room service to patients.As the Nurse Associate you will act within your professional boundaries, providing care for patients from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of their care under the supervision of a GP. You will show safe clinical decision-making and expert care for patients within the general practice, in consultation with the duty GP. You will work with the multi-disciplinary general practice team to support the delivery of policy and procedures and meet the needs of patients. Supervision and mentoring will be provided by the appropriate senior medical staff - the type of support will depend on the post holders skills and knowledge and determined by our clinical governance arrangements.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Nursing Associate will work with the Registered Nurse and other members of the multi professional team, providing and monitoring the condition and health needs of patients within their care, contributing to the ongoing assessment, as agreed with supervising clinician(s) and in line with the service pathways. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES Deliver high quality, compassionate care under the direction of a registered Nurse (or other registered professional as appropriate) with a focus on promoting health, self-care and independence.Carry out specific delegated clinical tasks and responsibilities to a competent standardWorking without direct supervision (where appropriate) within designated parameters of practice of the Nurse Associate role, accessing clinical and care advice when neededRecognise issues relating to safeguarding vulnerable children and adults and report any problems or raise concerns to the appropriate registered careExercise professional accountability and comply with practice policy in relation to the safe administration of medicinesUse electronic records to record the outcome of assessment and evaluation of careAssist in the assessment of and management of risk across the environment where care is being administeredAssist with the implementation and monitoring of clinical standards and outcomesDevelop a working knowledge of other providers resources and referral systems to ensure individuals needs are met, within parameters of practiceDemonstrate good understanding of principles of consent and ensure valid consent is obtained prior to undertaking nursing and care proceduresDemonstrate a good understanding of the Mental Capacity act / Deprivation of Liberties and applies principles to everyday practice seeking advice / guidance from Registered Nurse or other registered professional as requiredDeliver effective care following plans determined by the registered nurse or other registered care professional and provide feedback on progress against the plan
