Role summary: The Sustainability Manager is responsible for leading on projects to support PDSEs aim to become net zero by 2040. This role will require a flexible and adaptive working approach to developing solutions to reduce environmental impact, addressing associated challenges, and motivating others to engage and support our sustainability strategy. Key accountabilities: Lead on a variety of projects and initiatives to improve our carbon footprint across all areas of the business To support collaborative working with staff at all levels including the Senior Management Team and Directors. Provide direction and encourage others to share recommendations for reducing our carbon footprint, embedding a culture of improving sustainability throughout the organisation Lead the Sustainability Group, coordinate and chair regular meetings Prepare and present briefings, updates, and reports on sustainability projects Lead on gaining ISO14001 accreditation and implementing all associated documents and procedures Work alongside the Facilities team to support carbon reduction initiatives such as solar panels and EV charging. To assist with monitoring, data analysis and reporting of performance in relation to sustainability Provide assistance with business projects, ensuring environmental impact is considered and reduced where possible. Review and update related processes and policies regularly.
