Mechanical Engineering Trainer/ Assessor

Salary up to £36,364 per annum
The Role:
Within the role you will be doing a mixture of training and assessing - 2 days per week tutoring/training, 2 days per week assessing, and 1 day per week set aside for prep/paperwork.
You will be working within the college's Engineering department, supporting, teaching, training, and assessing Mechanical Engineering students on their courses of study. Learners will be on courses levels 1 - 3 and cover subjects such as:
1. Conventional Turning & Milling
2. Hand Fitting
3. Basic CNC Milling & Turning
4. CAD CAM / 3D Printing
5. 6 Axis Robotics
6. General Engineering - H&S, Communications & Organizational Efficiency
7. Business Improvement Techniques - Lean Manufacturing
8. Hydraulics & Pneumatics
9. Basic Electrical Installation for Maintenance Engineers
10. Technical Drawing - Paper based on drawing boards
11. Mechanical Principles
12. Electrical Principles
13. Measurement & Inspection
You will be responsible for delivering education and training to high standards along with preparing student materials, assessing and marking student work, and carrying out student tutorials and assessments to ensure each student is achieving their best during their time in the college.
The Person:
We are therefore seeking individuals that are passionate about Mechanical Engineering and that have relevant experience in both educational and industry fields. The individual will also have experience working with students or apprentices either in a college or an educational setting whilst being upbeat, motivational, and knowledgeable in the subject area in order to educate and inspire learners.
Minimum Requirements:
1. A level 3 qualification in a relevant subject (Mechanical Engineering etc)
2. A teaching qualification not essential but preferred
3. An Assessor's Award
4. Experience delivering/assessing Mechanical Engineering across a range of levels
