What will you be doing? You’ll work closely with the Service Director: Transport and Connectivity to create and deliver strategies that align with community needs and Council priorities. You’ll oversee operations to ensure smooth traffic flow, improving the experience for residents, businesses, and visitors across Cambridgeshire. Leading a dedicated team, you’ll maintain compliance while driving income to support the Council’s mission of creating a greener, fairer, and more caring Cambridgeshire. About you We are looking for an exceptional leader with a proven track record of working in a large organisation managing complex parking and traffic management operations. Your ability to inspire diverse teams is just as important as your extensive technical knowledge of traffic legislation, parking enforcement and service delivery. You’ll bring strong commercial awareness, strategic thinking and a commitment to delivering high quality services that align with Council priorities. Stakeholder engagement skills are essential for success in this role. Your knowledge of best practice in traffic, highways and parking will be second to none, and you value thought leadership, looking beyond your organisation to identify the very best strategic and operational approaches to our ambitions. You know how to communicate, expertly and you will have led and contributed to the delivery of organisational change. You’ll have deep experience of developing excellent relationships with senior leaders, partners, and Councillors and will work collaboratively with all colleagues.
