As a UX Designer at RocketMill you will have a dynamic role, combining design skills and technical know-how.
You will be using your UX design skills to create best in class online experiences that will engage, delight our clients’ customers and you will be using your technical prowess to roll out UX and content changes via a CMS.
You will join a growing, multidisciplinary UX/CRO team, which has a varied and specialised skill set including quantitative and qualitative data analysis, visual design, wireframing, prototyping, experimentation ideation and implementation, UX strategy, UX research, usability testing and digital accessibility expertise.
We’re looking for a problem solver, who is confident in their design and CMS skills, that may be a few years into their career and that has the drive to learn and grow with us. You’ll champion the user, have a keen interest in inclusive design and you’ll demonstrate a high level of diligence in every aspect of your work. You’ll produce wireframes to communicate ideas effectively, which you’ll enhance with a strategic approach to visual design and you won’t be afraid to execute a design into code.
You will be confident collaborating with cross-functional teams and liaising with key stakeholders both within the agency and within our clients’ business.
Work remotely, or in our London and Brighton offices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Work collaboratively across the design process from ideation, wireframing to high fidelity prototyping, providing seamless and visually appealing user experiences across a range of devices using prototyping tools such as Figma.
2. Work with the team to plan your approach in response to a brief, taking time to understand the client’s requirements and relevant user needs.
3. Ensure your designs are fully QA’d and approved by other members of the team before sharing with the end client.
4. Discuss feedback openly with a client and with the team to resolve changes into the best possible design solution.
5. Receive, interrogate and complete page authoring (web editing) briefs to execute UX and content changes via a CMS (AEM) in a timely manner, whilst adhering to a client’s defined processes and brand specification.
6. Get involved in other aspects of our service offering, supporting user research activities, UX audits, client workshops and translating learnings into actionable, user-centred recommendations.
7. Work collaboratively with CRO team members to design and iterate on solutions for on-going conversion experimentation projects.
8. Champion digital accessibility in your work by incorporating inclusive design principles and adhering to WCAG guidelines.
9. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers and client leads, to ensure the successful execution of projects and deliverables.
