Software Project Manager - Horsham hybrid working - to £60k per annum
My client is a recognised market leading security software solutions company working with Corporate and Governmental clients across the globe. They are looking for a motivated individual who is ready to work within a team to help them develop mission-critical software.
My client has a combination of market leading established products used by household brands, as well as having new exciting products about to launch.
Software Project Manager Role
They are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their development team to help focus on delivering new software releases for existing products and help deliver new software projects to their customers.
The individual will have an opportunity to review their current PM and development processes and help make their mark on the company's development processes.
Software Project Manager Duties
1. Creating development requirements: Ensuring that the development team are kept aligned with the highest development priorities, and that the requirements are clearly defined to all parties.
2. Scoping and estimating: Facilitate planning, prioritising and estimation meetings, to ensure the dev backlog is clear and understood by key parties.
3. Project planning: In co-ordination with the lead developers, produce plans for new features and products.
4. Delivery: Proactive in helping deliver multiple projects and overcoming difficulties to ensure products/projects are delivered on time and budget.
5. Continuous Improvement: Be a driving force in helping the development team deliver constant improvement to our development processes.
Skills and Experience
1. 5+ years of experience working in project management, with a software application or similar complex software requirements.
2. Knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall project management processes.
3. Commercially aware with a focus on delivering on time, to scope and to budget, and an ability to understand customer requirements.
4. Good interpersonal and communication skills, capable of presenting work and leading meetings on next steps.
5. Good understanding of the software development lifecycle, code management, hosting infrastructure.
6. Ability to assess risks and issues, identifying the root cause and delivering solutions.
7. Ability to engage in technical conversations in a productive manner, and ensure the conversations are kept inline with business requirements.
