We are currently looking for a Lead Exam Invigilators to support our students and staff during our busy exams periods At Orchard Mead Academy all students, teachers and staff share a common vision to make a positive difference to ourselves, to others and to our world. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the main examination venue and leading a team of invigilators in preparing the exam venue and conducting external and internal examinations. Main duties include: To assist in the effective and efficient administration of school based examinations and lead a team of invigilators Preparing the examination room to ensure the layout meets exam body requirements and that candidates have the correct papers; Ensure that all JCQ and awarding body regulatory requirements for the conduct of examinations are strictly adhered to Ensuring the correct identification of all candidates on the exams register under the direction of the Exams Manager; Maintaining exam conditions at all times throughout examination and supervising candidates, ensuring efficient time keeping is maintained; Awareness of all procedures and examination body regulations The ideal candidate will: Ability to work under pressure. Previous experience of invigilating examinations in a school environment A sound knowledge of the ‘Instructions for the Conduct of Examinations’ produced annually by the JCQ. Ability to lead a team of invigilators. Ability to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to communicate with candidates and members of staff clearly and accurately.
