Provide specialist commercial advise on administration of the terms of the building contract. Provide cost control and reporting services during the contract. Prepare financial reports, manage cost reporting of all allocated projects, including cost forecasting, anticipated final cost, cost of work done Identify all costs associated with design changes, contract awards, construction activities and client charges. Participate in the evaluation of claims for delay and additional costs made by the contractor and any nominated subcontractors/suppliers. Advise on the issue of certificates of practical completion and ensure that final accounts are negotiated and agreed. Identify and advise on all commercial risk/claim events. Produce appropriate commercial correspondence and contractual notices for issue in accordance with contractual conditions. Make sure commercial records are retained and archived properly upon close out. Undertake final account settlements and internal reconciliation to project close-out as per the project authority, project plan and within agreed timescales. You’ll need to have: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Relevant BSc/MSc or HND/HNC with 10 years’ experience in a commercial role. Some understanding of how projects are delivered in network rail. Some understanding and consideration to network rail's asset protection dept. Awareness of responsibilities with regards to H&S. You’ll also have: A degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent) or working towards. Good knowledge of forms of network rail suite of contracts.
