As a Funding Officer, you will be responsible for assessing applications, managing a caseload of projects, and providing advice to organisations to ensure they successfully deliver their projects and achieve measurable impact. Key Responsibilities: Assess Funding Requests: Review applications and assess the viability of projects for funding, ensuring alignment with community needs and organisational goals. Grant Management: Oversee the grant process from application to delivery, ensuring projects are on track and funds are used effectively. Caseload Management: Manage your own caseload of funded projects, liaising with grant recipients and providing guidance and support as needed. Project Visits: Undertake regular visits to project sites to assess progress, offer advice, and monitor outcomes. Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with projects and work proactively with organisations to mitigate them. Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with stakeholders, helping them connect with the right resources to achieve their goals. Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Curiosity & Understanding: A keen interest in the funding sector and a commitment to understanding the needs of local communities. Customer Service: A strong commitment to providing excellent customer service to both stakeholders and grant recipients. Financial Acumen: Ability to analyse financial data, review business plans, and identify potential risks.
