About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a virtual Weight Management Service as a Project Leader. You will be bold and proactive, developing a new team that shares the vision and aspirations of the service. Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the daily operational and business management of the department
* Ensuring the required capacity for services and that key performance targets are met
* Contract performance, reporting, and budget management
* Supporting the development and implementation of plans for service improvement
* Deputising for the Project Manager as appropriate
* Providing operational leadership and management with overall responsibility and accountability for delivering project outputs and outcomes of the weight management service
* Leading a multidisciplinary team to ensure delivery outcomes are achieved
* Ensuring services are delivered and developed to provide high-quality, safe, and effective packages of support that respond to client needs
* Playing a key role in integrating the service into the wider behaviour change programme across the area
* Working with the Project Manager to ensure robust systems are in place to monitor and control expenditure across the service
* Supporting the development of business plans and attending training as required
About you
To be successful as a Project Leader, you must have:
* Experience working in a health and social care environment
* Experience delivering and managing community development/asset-based programmes
* Previous project and operational management experience
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* A positive, proactive leader capable of motivating and supporting delivery teams to achieve high standards and outcomes
* Strategic thinking skills and the ability to address problems and opportunities proactively
* Ability to build strong relationships
* An open mind and motivation for new ideas and perspectives
* Access to a car with a clean driver's license
About the rewards
The role offers an excellent salary of £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
