Personal assistant required for a happy and outgoing 16-year-old girl who has hearing loss and mobility issues, requiring a wheelchair in the winter months.
Living in the Liskeard area.
We are looking for someone friendly and confident who can build up a positive relationship and provide 1:1 support with craft and cooking activities in the home, as well as help accessing the community.
Skills in baking, sewing and crafts would be an advantage but not essential.
Making a simple lunch, washing up and cleaning up after activities would be required.
Some knowledge or experience of working with young people with special educational or health needs is essential.
Rate of pay - £12.00 per hour.
Working 7 hours a week over 30 weeks of the year from 1st October to end of April. Hours are likely to be one whole day or two half days, so some flexibility is preferred.
To access the community, a driver with own car and business insurance is essential.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family.
