Job Introduction
We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as Strategic Account Director, providing leadership and strategic direction to our team at the prestigious HQ of our global client located in London, with a further site in Brighton.
You will directly lead a team of Account Managers across the London and Brighton sites, developing a unified Food & Drink strategy for the account, with a focus on quality & innovation. You will take ownership of the overall implementation of this strategy, offering support, guidance and training to your management team to empower them to bring it to life. You will take an evidence-based approach to appraising this strategy, using data to determine what works, what doesn’t, and what can be improved.
You will also ensure we deliver impeccable standards in the right way - we value sustainability, we minimise waste, and we are rigorous in our compliance procedures. With the support of your management team, you will develop and implement strategies and roadmaps to ensure we are industry leaders in these areas.
You will take overall accountability for account finances, ensuring that we are delivering value for our client whilst maximising financial efficiency.
You will be a key relationship contact for our client, and will regularly communicate the great work which Sodexo is doing. You will develop a solid understanding of the account structures, contracts, finances and operations, and become a trusted source of information for our client.
You will be oversee ad hoc projects with the support of your management team, leading discussions around scoping, planning and implementation. You will also work in collaboration with the client and other third party providers, displaying leadership and drive to see projects through to completion.
Main Responsibilities
You will:
Be the strategic leader for the account, setting overall standards and direction. Consistently ask yourself how we can improve quality and how we can innovate.
Oversee exceptional standards in Food & Drink service quality and innovation. You will leverage the wealth of experience and support which Sodexo will provide, enhancing the service we offer through the expertise you will have available in areas such as marketing, design, food development, technology and legal.
Work closely with our client - as they key account contact you will manage and nurture the relationship, becoming a trusted partner and adviser. You will identify opportunities to deepen the partnership with the client.
Oversee the lifecycle of ad hoc projects, which could include equipment upgrades, restaurant refurbishments, or mobilisation of whole new sites. Ensure that such projects are well thought through, incepted and delivered to bring real value to our client.
Ensure that the account is operated within all relevant contractual terms, and has a unit business plan which is reviewed at least quarterly - showing key objectives, goals and measures that link to the overall business plan and strategy for the segment
Ensure that the account performs to budget, achieving unit business plans. Improve financial performance by utilising nominated suppliers, maximising labour productivity in line with Sodexo models, policies and procedures, and controlling costs
Coach and support your management team to ensure that the Focus on Five principles are adopted, employee’s performance is managed through the Sodexo performance management processes and talent development and succession planning activities take place
The Ideal Candidate
You have held a senior position a hospitality role. You have experience in delivering Food & Drink services, and an understanding of Front of House services would also be an advantage. You will have excellent operational knowledge having spent time in an operational role, and be comfortable as the key account contact for your client
You will also have:
Experience in Management Information reporting
Experience in the management of large and diverse teams
The ability to manage multiple workloads and shifting priorities
The ability to interpret and utilise complex and varied financial and commercial information
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients and employees at all levels
The ability to achieve set, standards and operate to performance criteria; for example health and safety, hygiene
