The Role
1. Provide technical authority for hardware aspects of the product, including design verification and formal qualification.
2. Consider factors such as cost, size, and DFM in your responsibilities.
3. Drive innovation and process development within your scope of responsibility.
4. Contribute to the design and verification of new components, products, and systems as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
5. Support root cause analysis for issues with existing products when required.
6. Assist the Sales team with technical proposals.
7. Participate in peer review processes within the team.
8. Provide technical mentorship to other engineers.
The Candidate
1. Possess electronic engineering qualifications, ideally a degree.
2. Have proven skills in hardware design, with a bias towards PCB or electronic design.
3. Experience using PCB CAD software such as Eagle, OrCAD, or Altium.
4. Ideally, have practical experience designing electronic assemblies to meet EMC requirements.
5. Experience supporting products throughout their lifecycle.
6. Ability to obtain SC security clearance.
The Package
1. Offering up to £55,000 basic salary, plus a competitive benefits package including 25 days holiday.
