Global Accounting Network are currently partnered with a leading global communications consultancy seeking a skilled and enthusiastic EMEA Payroll Manager to join their dynamic finance team. This exciting role is based in London, offering the flexibility of a hybrid working arrangement (3 days in the office). The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing payroll operations across the UK, Denmark, Ireland, Belgium, and the Middle East, and will work closely with both the finance and talent teams across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage payroll processing for multiple countries, coordinating with payroll agencies or using in-house software.
* Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time, adhering to internal policies, controls, and statutory regulations.
* Collaborate with the talent teams to manage payroll changes, including new hires, leavers, bonuses, benefits, and deductions.
* Perform monthly reconciliations and post payroll journals to the finance system.
* Investigate, resolve, and correct payroll data issues and discrepancies.
* Act as the main point of contact for employee payroll-related queries.
* Stay updated on regional legislation changes regarding taxation, pensions, and national insurance.
* Assist with the consolidation of UK payroll to a single external agency.
* Contribute to HR system updates and salary budget adjustments.
What We’re Looking For:
* Professional qualification in Payroll or significant demonstrable experience.
* Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, pensions, and statutory payments (including redundancy, SMP, and SSP).
* Experience with payroll in Belgium is an advantage.
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
* Proficiency in Excel and payroll-related software.
* A proactive, collaborative attitude and the ability to work well in a close-knit team.
