Customer Service Advisor / Yard Person
We are looking for an experienced Customer Service Advisor / Yard Person to join us to be a key team player responsible for all of our customers' needs and to deliver outstanding customer experience.
Temp to perm
Salary: £11.87, increasing to £12.50
Hours: 40.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Role & Responsibilities
1. Handles requests from customers in a local site/depot or branch environment, including new account and pricing set up, order entry and queries, and internal communication with operations and sales teams.
2. Take and process sales orders from customers.
3. Raise manual notes for permitted scenarios and update Manual Log.
4. Raise credit notes adhering to the credit note request procedure.
5. Take payments from customers and reconcile banking for gas (and equipment, if applicable).
6. Calculate commission payments to agents and make adjustments to cylinder holdings.
7. Complete manual template to create Proforma Invoices as required.
8. Provide rapid resolution to issues and assess when a contact requires escalation or referral to an expert.
9. Develop and maintain knowledge of products, services, and systems as required.
10. Identify sales opportunities for referral to the sales team.
11. Develop strong long-term relationships with customers and agents to fully understand their needs.
12. Provide proactive service to select customers based on outbound contact.
13. Manage work within KPI/target framework to optimise customer experience and productivity.
14. Serve and engage with customers at the counter.
15. Process cash and card payments over the counter securely and responsibly.
16. Be instrumental in accurate and timely stock counts.
17. Listen to and resolve customers' complaints regarding products or services.
18. Deliver goods to customers using a dedicated delivery van.
19. Movement of cylinders in the yard as and when required.
20. Picking & packing of products in the warehouse as and when required.
