What You’ll Be Doing
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of the maintenance plan at the Royal Wootton Bassett Biochar plant. This includes managing all site assets in accordance with O&M manuals and warranty periods, overseeing the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System), sourcing and coordinating contractors and suppliers, planning and executing maintenance tasks, and scheduling outages for each asset.
The role also involves coordinating contractors to maintain a safe and efficient working environment. As the primary engineering contact for out-of-hours issues, the Maintenance Supervisor will work closely with the Operations Department to ensure plant and equipment availability. Strong communication and relationship-building across teams are essential to maintaining smooth site operations.
This is a split role that combines desk-based planning with hands-on work, as well as providing direction and supervision to the maintenance team. It requires a flexible, multi-skilled approach, with a willingness to take on additional duties as necessary to meet site objectives.
