Teaching Assistant / SEN
Location: Sandwell
Type: Full-time Contract
Do you have a passion for working with SEND students in a primary setting?
Are you experienced in working with students with Autism in a primary setting?
Career Teachers has partnered with Primary schools around the Sandwell area and we are looking for experienced TA's.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Acting as a positive role model and managing behaviour.
2. Ensuring a safe learning environment and approaching education with a child-centred approach.
3. Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
4. Understanding Individual Education Plans & Behaviour Support Plans and assisting to implement these, under the guidance of the teacher.
5. Supporting the class teacher with planning, monitoring and delivering creative lessons.
Key Skills and Experience Needed:
1. SEN experience is essential, preferably with young people with Autism.
2. Previous support work within a school or other child-related experience.
3. Strong behaviour management.
4. Professional manner.
5. Enthusiastic, positive and friendly approach.
