If so, then we have a brilliant opportunity for a Location Accountant to join us here at Jockey Club Catering at our Exeter & Wincanton Racecourses.
As our Location Accountant, you will support the venue management team in understanding their financial performance; whilst subsequently driving contract performance and monitoring change.
1. Be the key Commercial resource on racedays and key events ensuring tills, PDQs are tech are programmed and working
2. Preparing information for accurate P&Ls pre and post events including profiling, attendance and SPH assumptions
3. Assisting in the accurate & timely weekly, monthly and rolling forecasts and annual budgeting/forecasting process
4. Ensuring completion of financial statements
5. Compiling, creating and reviewing budgets, forecasts and providing analysis surrounding contract performance
6. Attending regular reviews, acting as a business partner in relation to the provision of reporting and management information
7. Working closely with General Manager and Heads of Departments to ensure full awareness of all financial drivers in the business
8. Assisting in improving Working Capital including debt management, stock & cash control
9. Clear and concise internal reporting and preparation for business reviews
10. Be the pro-active link between venue and head office teams to ensure all month end and general finance processes are working as well as required
About you:
To be right for us, you will ideally be AAT qualified / or working towards a professional qualification in ACCA/CIMA/ACA (QBE is also acceptable). You will possess good financial and commercial acumen with the following skills:
1. Experience in a financial role within a similar industry
2. Ability to analyse and evaluate information in a clear and concise way
3. Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate oral and written information concisely and logically
4. Strong numerical and analytical skills for large quantities of data, with close attention to detail
5. Flexible working ability as there is some weekend work
6. Travel to your venues therefore driving licence is required
