University of Wolverhampton at The Halls, are seeking Venue Security staff to join their team.
In this role you will
Assist the venue to achieve its aims in security and counter terrorism, fire safety, health and safety and crowd management.
Support the safe, secure and effective operation of the venue control room and all its functions.
Monitor, operate and respond where required to the building fire safety systems and intruder alarms.
Monitor and operate CCTV for health & safety and security purposes of the venue.
Assist in implementing venue operational, incident management and emergency plan as instructed.
Sign-in/out all control room equipment: radios, access cards, keys, etc.
Operate an accurate and detailed daily/nightly control log for event and non-event days and other reports as required.
Control access to Stage Door and CCTV/Control room.
Where required act as point of contact with emergency services.
Carry out internal and external building checks.
Control the site vehicle access including the HVM bollards/barrier.
Assist in the operation of deliveries and collections.
Carry out staff, contractor and visitor sign-ins/outs.
We're looking for people who have worked in a security role in a busy customer facing environment. You will have a genuine desire and ability to work with the public in a front line, customer focused setting and thrive in a very busy environment, maintaining patience and empathy when working under pressure.
With relevant experience of using radios and the ability to take initiative and make decisions based on training and instruction given; you also must have
Valid and in-date SIA Door or Close Protection Licence.
Valid and in-date SIA CCTV Licence.
Valid ACT e-Learning Training.
Valid ACT Security e-Learning Training.
A great communicator, you'll be able to build good working relationships with both colleagues and guests.
We'll give you a thorough induction where you'll learn about our culture and values and how AEG and the venue operates. We will give you all the training in our systems, policies and procedures so that you'll be set up for success.
Where: You'll be based at the venue, University of Wolverhampton at The Halls. You must be available to work overnight, weekends and unsociable hours.
