Our Wealth businesses comprise of Coutts and Affluent, and our strategy focuses on not only providing competitive day to day banking, but helping clients pay down their household debt and build longer term investments too.
With over 330 years of history, Coutts has defined the Private Banking sector not just as a bank, but a business that prides itself on expertise and experience too.
Affluent comprises of NatWest Premier, Specialist Advice & Investment Services, and the contact centres that support them. Affluent is a relatively new business area and aims to support some of NatWest Group’s wealthiest customers with excellent service and advice.
The Asset Management Centre of Excellence, within Coutts, was established to provide investment products and services to NatWest Group customers. As an asset manager, we are responsible for the allocation, management and oversight of capital to create long-term value for our customers.
Our world-class graduate programme
As a graduate trainee in Asset Management, we’ll equip you with the knowledge, skills and experiences you’ll need to make a significant impact through your work.
Over the course of this two-year programme, you can expect to:
* Build a deep understanding of financial markets and wealth management
* Grow a comprehensive understanding of investments
* Learn how to interpret data and insights in investment strategy, fund and equity analysis, and risk
* Develop first class client service skills
* Gain a unique insight into the investment advice and services offered to private clients
* Establish your own track record of success working across different areas of Asset Management
* Deepen your understanding of our products and services, and how they’re designed and managed
* Nurture the skills you’ll need to identify business development opportunities and digital solutions
How you’ll benefit
We’ll reward you with a starting salary of £35,000. If you join a team based in London, you’ll be awarded an additional allowance of £3450. And on top of your salary, you’ll also have access to our flexible benefits package.

Entry requirements
To be eligible for our Asset Management graduate programme, you’ll need:
* To have, or be on course to achieving a 2:1 in your degree
* A growth mindset and passion for learning
* To enjoy collaborating and working as a team
* A sound sense of judgement
* Good problem-solving skills
* A strong customer focus
