BME Specialist Worker - Carmarthenshire and Llanelli
Bawso is the lead organisation in Wales providing practical and emotional support to black minority ethnic (BME) and migrant victims of domestic abuse, sexual violence, human trafficking, Female Genital Mutilation, and forced marriage.
We are seeking to appoint for the following position:
BME Specialist Worker (Female applicants only)
Location: Carmarthenshire and Llanelli
Hours: 17.5 hrs per week
Salary: £26,300 per annum pro rata
Contract length: up to 31st May 2025
Role:
The aim is to work within a community development framework. The worker will be responsible for raising awareness of VAW, FGM, HBV, and Forced Marriage in practicing communities and to support women and girls to challenge the custom within the Dyfed Powys area.
This role is restricted to female applicants only in accordance with the provisions of the occupational requirement (Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1).
