NDT Inspection Engineer

The NDT Engineer is responsible for supporting the technical delivery of all NDT techniques in accordance with company procedures.
Core Tasks & Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the effective planning and organisation of NDT inspection activities, ensuring all NDT work scopes are delivered efficiently, competently, within budget and in accordance with company procedures.
2. Responsible for ensuring all NDT & RRT personnel are suitably trained and competent.
3. Manage and support the NDT site teams on a day-to-day basis and maintain appropriate and effective interfaces between Bilfinger and the client.
4. Assist in the preparation of Inspection proposals, NDT CTR’s and CAPEX requirements.
5. Assist with the reviewing/updating of NDT Technical procedures.
6. Assist with NDT technical qualification trials.
7. Provide technical support to all projects and assist with client integrity challenges or technical queries.
8. Conduct site visits (onshore and offshore) to supervise, audit and support onsite NDT delivery.
9. Provide technical support with respect to the development, validation and implementation of new technology, techniques and procedures.
Qualifications & Competencies
1. Ten years experience in the delivery of both conventional and advanced NDT methods covering in-service and newly fabricated products.
2. Detailed knowledge of the common integrity challenges within the renewables and Oil and Gas sector.
3. Detailed knowledge in the advantages and limitations of conventional and advanced NDT methods.
4. HNC or higher qualification in an engineering subject.
5. Experienced in the organisation and supervision of inspection/NDT work scopes.
6. Professional, approachable, pro-active, and organised.
7. High level of personal authenticity, confidentiality, integrity, and transparency.
