Job Title: Emergency Treatment Nurse Location: Bridgwater, Somerset Salary: £42,000 per annum (enhanced pay for nights and weekends) Shifts: Full-time (including days and nights) My client is seeking a qualified Emergency Treatment Nurse to join their busy Medical/Urgent Care centre at Hinkley Point C, located in Bridgwater, Somerset. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment, providing emergency response and healthcare services across a large and dynamic site. Role Overview: This is an exciting and varied role where you will be responsible for managing medical emergencies, providing urgent treatment for injuries and illnesses, and supporting health surveillance and occupational health (OH) services. As a key part of the healthcare team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the health and wellbeing of all site employees. Key Responsibilities: Respond to and manage trauma and medical emergencies on site. Provide a walk-in treatment service for injuries and illnesses. Conduct health surveillance and occupational health medicals. Perform drug and alcohol testing. Carry out cannulation when necessary. Required Qualifications and Experience: NMC Registered Nurse. Previous experience in A&E or similar urgent care settings. Immediate or Advanced Life Support (ILS/ALS) qualification. A valid UK Manual Driving License. Ideally, experience in independent practice in Minor Injury Units (MIU) or similar environments. Skills & Expertise: Administering immunisations and vaccinations. Advanced life support and resuscitation. Conducting baseline measurements and fitness-for-work assessments. Performing minor injuries care and wound care. Health surveillance and health promotion activities. Drug and alcohol testing. Medical report writing and documentation. Additional Information: For this position, there is a two-stage interview process. Successful candidates will be invited for a practical assessment, which will include an ALS scenario and an assessment of a limb. The second-stage interview will take place onsite.
